Event Details

Join acclaimed filmmaker Charlie Minn for an intense discussion on his documentaries and how he was able to carve his own niche into the filmmaking world. Minn has also worked as a television journalist in several U.S. cities including Albuquerque (KRQE), Fresno, Portland, Cleveland, Hartford, Providence, Philadelphia, and New York for over 10 years.  Minn has produced and directed ten documentaries in the past three years, with many of them playing in Albuquerque(please see list below).

His hard-hitting thought provoking approach has caught the attention of Lion's Gate, Fox News Channel and Universities across the country. His films have premiered in over 30 U.S. cities nationwide. Minn will discuss each documentary he made, from pre-production to post.

"Many people want to become a filmmaker, but for one reason or another, they never fulfill that goal. There are reasons for everything, and in my experience, the aspiring filmmakers today lack the necessary knowledge on what it takes to make this their career. How many people attend film school and never make a film? I've always said that there are two types of filmmakers, one who "talks" about making films and the other ones that actually "make" films. Its your choice."

Minn will show you every possible angle concerning the daunting process of documentary filmmaking. He will be open to questions from aspiring artists who need that missing link, and other key pieces of information that has perhaps evaded them. Every aspect of the filmmaking process will be covered from producing, financing, and marketing to distribution. Questions about film festivals, how to work with your crew, who does your posters, websites, social media, etc. will be covered. A lot of this you will never learn in film school.

He will also be available for "one-one-one" consultations by appointment only. This is all happening in one place! There are a limited number of seats. Take advantage of this rare opportunity today!

“Walk away with a new career in just hours!”
